Dr. Seelabhadran Nair Inter Collegiate Football Tournament was restarted on the initiative of our Alumni Association and held from March 4th  to March 7th, 2009 with the cooperation of Physical Education department of Medical College.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Former President of India visited our campus on Feb 21, 2009, and delivered the 52nd Silver Jubilee Oration.  This function was arranged jointly by our Alumni Association, Medical College Students Union, and the Silver Jubilee Oration Committee.

Mathrubhumi Medical Expo-2009: Alumni Association is participating Mathrubhumi Medical Expo-2009 at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram on 18.7.09 to 21.07.09. The Medical College pavalion is arranged by our association with the help of Dept. of Anatomy, Forensic Medicine, Physiology, Pathology  and Community Medicine.  Our pavilion was the most keenly attended one in the whole show.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Half yearly general body meeting and family gettogether on May 17, 2009, Sunday at 4.00 pm at old auditorium, Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.  During the meeting, our new president Dr. G. Vijayaraghavan, receipent of prestigious Padmasree award and Dr. M. Krishnan Nair our Past President, who has received Fellowship of Royal College in Oncology will be honored.  The meeting will be followed by caricature show by famous Cine artist Sri Jayaraj Warrier.  Please attend the function with family.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A CME programme conducted on 19.09.2009.  The Lecture class on ‘When the platelets are low’ was delivered by Dr. M.B. Agarwal an eminent Haemato oncologist of Bombay Hospital, which was attended by a large number of faculties and students.

4th Alumni Annual Convention held on 2nd January 2010.  Convention inaugurated by Sri. Vayalar Ravi, Hon’ble Union Minister for Overseas Affairs.  The opening of the rennovated Biochemistry lecture hall was also conducted by him.  Orations were conducted in the name of Dr. V.C. Mathew Roy and Dr. MRS Menon by Dr. M.V. Pillai and Dr. V.V. Bashi  respectively.  Thereafter CME programmes conducted on various topics.  The convention was concluded by a cultural programme and gettogether in the evening.
